NA RESISTÊNCIA CONTRA BERLUSCONI, EM PROJETO DE NANNI MORETTI
 Um
jovem cineasta paulistano, Cesar Meneghetti, participa do projeto
de cultura popular do cineasta italiano Nanni Moretti, contra
o controle dos meios de comunicação pelo primeiro-ministro
Silvio Berlusconi.
O
cineasta Nanni Moretti assumiu na Itália o papel de líder
da resistência dos intelectuais ao controle dos meios de
comunicação pelo primeiro-ministro Silvio Berlusconi.
Em represália à demissão do diretor da Mostra
de Veneza, Alberto Bardera, e às medidas de corte de subvenção
aos filmes, que lembram as de Fernando Collor, Nanni Moretti decidiu
fazer uma série de documentários ligados à
cultura popular, filmados em digital, para serem exibidos não
só em cinemas mas em salas de associações
e terem uma versão DVD, acompanhadas dos textos originais
em livro.
Trata-se
dos "Diários Sacher/ I Diari della Sacher Film",
uma seleção de diários pessoais de italianos,
depositados nos Arquivos dos Diários Nacionais, com as
memórias dos principais momentos da história italiana.
Moretti apresentou no Festival de Locarno os quatro primeiros
documentários. O terceiro deles é "Zapaterra"
(foto), um vídeo de 25 minutos, com a história da
camponesa Margherita Ianelli, mãe de seis filhos e analfabeta
até os 50 anos, quando ingressou na escola e concluiu os
cursos primário, secundário e colegial. "Zapaterra"
é co-dirigido com Elisabetta Pandimiglio.
Margherita
vivia na região de Marzabotto, massacrada pelos nazistas.
Depois de ter contado sua infância de bóia-fria e
participação na resistência, Margheritta publicou
aos 80 anos suas memórias, editadas em três livros.
Foi o cineasta paulistano Cesar Meneghetti quem filmou "Zapaterra",
com sua mulher Elisabetta Pandimiglio. Formado pela em cinema
pela FAAP, Cesar Meneghetti completou seus estudos em Londres
e na Cinecita, em Roma, no Centro Experimental de Cinematografia,
onde estudaram Gustavo Dahl e Sarraceni e foram diretores Rosselini
e os irmãos Taviani.
Seu
primeiro curta-metragem, "Sem Terra", também
com Elisabetta Pandimiglio, a história de um imigrante
italiano que nasce no navio, no caminho para o Brasil, foi premiado
no Festival dos Festivais de Curitiba e participou do Vídeo
Brasil, em São Paulo. Cesar Meneghetti vai ao Brasil em
setembro para fazer o curta-digital
"Cachorro Louco", escolhido num concurso pela Petrobrás,
e no qual contará a vida dos Motoboys de São Paulo.

FILMMAKER JOINS THE RESISTANCE TO BERLUSCONI, IN A
NANNI MORETTI'S PROJECT
A
young filmmaker from São Paulo, Cesar Meneghetti,
is taking part in the popular culture project by the
Italian filmmaker Nanni Moretti, against the media
control by the Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.
Filmmaker
Nanni Moretti has in Italy the role of the leader
of the intellectuals' resistance to the media control
by the Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. Answering
the dismissal of Venice Biennale's director, Alberto
Bardera, and the cut of subventions measures, that
remind us of the ones taken by Fernando Collor, Nanni
Moretti decided to make a digital documentary series
on popular culture, to be shown not only in movie
theaters, but also in organizations and in DVD version,
together with books with the original texts.
It
is called "The Sacher Diaries / I Diari della
Sacher Film", a selection of Italian personal
diaries, kept in Archives in the National Diaries,
with the memories of the main moments in Italian History.
Moretti presented in Locarno the first four documentaries.
The third of them is "Zapaterra" (picture),
a 25-minute video, telling the story of the peasant
woman Margherita Ianelli, the mother of six children
and illiterate until she was 50 years old, when she
entered school and finished up to high school. "Zapaterra"
is co-directed by Elisabetta Pandimiglio.
Margherita
lived in the Marzabotto region, slaughtered by the
Nazis. After telling her childhood working at the
harvests and her participation in the resistance,
Margheritta published, at the age of 80, her memories,
divided in three books. It was the filmmaker from
São Paulo Cesar Meneghetti who shot "Zapaterra",
with his wife Elisabetta Pandimiglio. Graduated in
movie making by FAAP, in São Paulo, Cesar Meneghetti
completed his studies in London and at Cinecittá,
in Rome, at the Cinematography Experimental Center,
where Gustavo Dahl and Sarraceni studied and Rosselini
and the brothers Taviani were directors.
His
first short movie, "Landless", also with
Elisabetta Pandimiglio, the story of an Italian immigrant
who was born on the ship, on his way to Brazil, was
granted awards in the Curitiba Festival and was part
of Video Brasil, in São Paulo. Cesar Meneghetti
is going to Brazil in September to shoot the digital
short "Mad Dog", winner of a Petrobrás
competition, that will tell the life of motorcycle
couriers in São Paulo.
